Who Is Dotric Pty Ltd?


Dotric Pty Ltd is a Melbourne Australia based software development company. Its clients have covered the telecommunications, finance, defence and education industries.

Dotric specializes in developing software for the Microsoft Windows family of platforms using Visual C++. Dotric Visual C++ applications typically make use of the Microsoft Foundation Classes (MFC) to give them a familiar look and feel. Dotric has special expertise in TCP/IP, ATL and COM, with an emphasis on the automation of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook. Automation is used to maximize the client investment in existing software. For database applications, Dotric has used ODBC to connect to SQL Server and Microsoft Access.

Dotric also has extensive expertise in the Unix environment.

Dotric uses HTML, Java, JavaScript and C# for web based applications.

Reading Tutor Program


The Reading Tutor program, DotReader helps young people to read by the addition of sounds to a Microsoft Word. These sounds are added using menu options that have been added Microsoft Word. The document is simply opened in the normal way, using Microsoft Word. The appropriate menu item is selected and sounds are added using the computer's microphone. Sharing Word Documents


This software package is also activated using menu options that have been added to Microsoft Word. Users on two or more computers on a local area network open a document using Microsoft Word and connect to the other users using the appropriate menu options.
